On Call selected Envivio for its excellent video quality with very low latency. The ultra-efficient compression algorithms in the new Envivio HD30 enable the system to send high quality HD feeds at rates similar to current MPEG-2 based SD service. Extremely low latency of 300 milliseconds over DVB-ASI interfaces makes the HD30 a solid choice for interactive news applications such as studio anchors interviewing reporters in the field. QuickSPOT HD operates on the same basic platform as SD allowing broadcasters to operate both SD and HD on the same system. An Envivio 4Caster HD30 can be added to new or existing QuickSPOT systems offering an easy migration path from SD systems for those who aren't ready to make an immediate jump to HD. HD systems provide the automated deployment features and easy mobile operation QuickSPOT is known for.
